Powell Studio Architecture proudly holds the esteemed position of the architectural design firm of choice for Montverde Academy, having been entrusted with over 30 projects for the institution. Since 2009, Jeff Powell has served as the architect of record for on-campus initiatives, showcasing a longstanding and collaborative partnership. Together, Powell Studio Architecture and Montverde Academy have undertaken a strategic journey, culminating in the development of a comprehensive Master Plan designed to sustain the institution's growth into the future.
Established in 1912, Montverde Academy has evolved over the years to meet the evolving needs of its students and staff. Powell Studio Architecture has played a pivotal role in this transformation, working closely with Montverde Academy to ensure that each renovation and new development aligns seamlessly with the campus's existing culture and landscape.
The architectural expertise of Powell Studio Architecture has been instrumental in the renovation of key campus buildings, enhancing the facilities for students, athletes, and staff. Notable projects include the Duncan Student Center, Martha Bedell Dining Hall, Jorn M. Kreke Science Building, Pineapple House, and George H. Rast Library.
In 2015, Powell Studio Architecture completed the design and oversaw the construction of the 36,500 square-foot Upper School Building, followed by the 39,000 square-foot Middle School Building– Lindor Hall in 2021. These structures stand as testaments to the firm's commitment to delivering innovative and functional educational spaces.
Further extending its influence to the athletic facilities, Powell Studio Architecture has contributed to the state-of-the-art Sports Athletic Complex, SIMA Headquarters, Robert’s Gym renovations, Baseball Practice Facility, and the future Legacy Training Center.
